Devil's Advocate - Treble dreams up in smoke...

Yes, I'm left eating my own words.

The demolition never came and only glimpses of the masterclass appeared.

How disappointing. The treble dream's over.

Just when we looked all set to run riot over Pompey with a dominant performance, we were struck out of the FA Cup against the run of play. That match was ours for the taking.

Its been awhile since United were FA Cup victors...

The only comfort that this weekend brought was the fact that none of the Big 4 are gonna have a shot at the Treble either. Chelski were unbelievably knocked out by Barnsley (omg, I think I feel bttr already.. hah) and Arsenal slipped up against Wigan at the JJB - leaving us just 2 points behind with a game in hand.

Hmm maybe there was some salvation to the weekend after all ;)

Devil's Advocate - Up, up and away!

So it's progression in both the FA Cup and UCL for the boys now and things starting to look bright as the 'crunch time' of our season approaches.

Just a couple of weeks ago, we were 5 points off the pace and drawn to meet Arsenal in the 5th round of the FA Cup. It was no surprise then that talk of our season finally comin undone and how it's all starting to go bad for United.. and blah blah.

Funny this game we call 'football' huh?

Fast forward to today and we find ourselves within striking distance of the league title and thru to the last 8 of the UCL competition. What a difference a few games made.

My catalyst (and I believe most would agree) for this "change"?

Losing to City. At home.

As we lay dejected post-City, oblivious to us at that very heart-wrenching moment was an actual positive result that we needed. Yes, u heard me right. Losing 2-1 did us a whole world of good.

The hunger's back. The focus's back. And now, the points and goals are back ;)

Up next, Pompey. I pity their poor souls when they come marching in thru the OT gates.

Expect a demolition. A masterclass.

Wembley, here we come.

Arsenal lead cut to 1: Walk in the 'Park' for United

Fulham 0 Man United 3

MU: Hargreaves (15'), Ji-Sung Park (44'), Davies o.g (72')

Unlikely scorers was the theme of the night as United took apart an almost pedestrian Fulham side at Craven Cottage last night. Goals from Hargreaves, Park Ji-Sung and an own goal from midfielder Simon Davies capped off a match that saw the boys come to within a point of table leaders Arsenal who could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to Aston Villa.
